The Julien Foussard Difference

While Julien Foussard's entry into the business world came in 2001, when he was 21 and he decided to leave University to found his first start up, which was an online pet shop, Julien already knew by the time he was 12 that he wanted to start businesses as a career. He is largely self-taught and he has learned even more as he has gone on, but early on he understood that a startup is more than just a business. Over the course of more than a decade, Julien Foussard has launched at least ten additional businesses.

Back in 2010, Julien Foussard discovered a new subscription-based digital services model, which occupied most of his focus until he founded his new company, Oyst.com, which is an innovative ad platform that manages the entire online ad process, from user data collection to ad display. As he sees it, a business startup is an expression of the founder's beliefs, which means, with few constraints and limited only by the founder's imagination, people can do anything.

Through a combination of a strong belief in innovation and a wealth of knowledge and optimism, as well as his willingness to change the status quo and turn established business models on their heads, Julien Foussard believes that he has been an excellent entrepreneur and business development partner. He firmly believes that passion and drive are the keys to being an excellent entrepreneur. Any business owner must have a strong capacity for problem solving and they must also see failure as no more than a simple step toward success.

Julien Foussard, Self Taught and Optimistic

Julien Foussard’s ability to self-teach and great optimism has made him successful at business development. It is the ability to learn without a direct superior that enables him to think outside the box and try new things without fear of challenging the status quo. What separated Julien Foussard from other entrepreneurs was and is his willingness to build, work away from the norm and upturn established systems. This adaptability has fueled him and consistently assisted him to continue to go after his goals even through the tribulations that come with business development. His ability to push through difficult obstacles has also helped him in building his entrepreneurial passions when starting new businesses.

Since his first startup was founded in 2007 at the age of twenty-one, Julien Foussard has built up his experience launching an additional approximately ten more start-ups since that time. Julien Foussard has established a speciality of online subscription startups and all of these startups fall under that online subscription category of business.

Julien Foussard states that his main points for success are passion and savoir-faire. These two character descriptions have helped him to be successful in his career aspirations. He describes a successful entrepreneur as one who has a high success rate for problem solving. He works and lives by the motto of, “Try, fail, and try again.” He also has a skilled eye for finding business opportunities. This skill, combined with his strong suit of being self-taught and optimistic have led him to the success that he has today.
